Terms of Service

The app

The 00Widget app for iOS and Apple TV is licensed, not sold, under Apple’s Standard End User License Agreement. That agreement governs your use of the app itself, and it is the Terms of Use referenced wherever a subscription is sold in the app.

The 00Widget app for Meta Quest is licensed, not sold, under the default end user license terms in the Meta Horizon Store Terms. Those terms govern your use of the Meta Quest app itself.

Neither store’s terms cover services reached through the apps. Everything below governs your use of the 00Widget website and the hosted API service at api.00widget.com, which 00Widget operates. By accessing or using them, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

Eligibility and access

You must be legally able to enter into these Terms. You are responsible for the accounts, API tokens, and integrations you use with the service, for keeping credentials confidential, and for activity performed with them. Tell us promptly through the Support page if you believe access has been compromised.

Acceptable use

You may not use the service to break the law, infringe another person’s rights, distribute malware, interfere with or overload the service, gain unauthorized access, bypass usage or security limits, or facilitate harm, harassment, or covert monitoring. You may not resell or redistribute access to the hosted service. Do not probe or test the service for vulnerabilities without authorization; use the private security reporting channel described on the Support page.

Rate limits and fair use

The hosted API applies rate limits and usage quotas. Requests over a limit may be rejected, delayed, or return an error, and limits may be changed at any time without notice. Limits are not published as a guaranteed allowance and may differ between accounts, endpoints, and plans. Do not attempt to work around a limit by distributing traffic across multiple accounts, tokens, or IP addresses. Sustained use that degrades the service for others may be throttled, suspended, or terminated under the Suspension and termination section.

Service availability

No uptime, latency, or delivery guarantee is offered. Cards and Live Activities you publish may be delayed, dropped, or lost, and stored state may be reset between releases. Do not rely on the service where a missed or stale update would cause harm.

Endpoints, templates, rate limits, and quotas may change, and compatibility with earlier releases is not guaranteed. Access may be limited, suspended, or discontinued at any time.

Your content and data

You retain your rights in the data and content you submit. You grant 00Widget a limited permission to host, process, transmit, and display that content only as needed to operate and improve the service. You represent that you have the right to submit it and that doing so does not violate the law or anyone else’s rights.

Widget cards and Live Activities may be visible on the Home Screen, Lock Screen, Dynamic Island, Apple TV, Meta Quest headset panels, or through a sharing link. Do not submit passwords, API tokens, financial account details, highly sensitive personal information, or anything you would not want visible on those surfaces or to a person holding a link you created.

Open-source software

00Widget source code is available under its accompanying open-source licence. That licence governs your use of the source code. These Terms separately govern your use of the 00Widget-hosted website and API service.

Third-party services

The service relies on or connects with services provided by others, including Apple, Meta, Cloudflare, GitHub, and services you choose to integrate. Their own terms and privacy policies apply to their services. 00Widget is not responsible for third-party services or for changes, outages, or data handling outside its control.

Purchases and subscriptions

Paid features and subscriptions are sold through the App Store and the Meta Horizon Store. The price and renewal terms are shown before purchase. The store you bought from processes billing, cancellations, and eligible refunds under its terms: manage or cancel an App Store subscription in your Apple Account settings, and a Meta Horizon Store subscription in your Meta account’s subscription settings.

Feedback

If you send ideas or feedback, you allow 00Widget to use them without restriction or compensation. You are not required to provide feedback.

Suspension and termination

You may stop using the service at any time. Access may be suspended or terminated if you violate these Terms, create risk for the service or others, or if operating the service is no longer practical. Provisions that by their nature should continue after termination will remain in effect.

No warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind. We do not promise that it will be uninterrupted, secure, error-free, or suitable for critical, emergency, safety, financial, or medical use.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, 00Widget and its maintainer will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, revenue, profits, goodwill, or business opportunity. Total liability for claims relating to the service will not exceed the amount you paid for 00Widget during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.

Applicable rights

These Terms do not limit consumer protections or other rights that cannot lawfully be excluded. Any dispute will be governed by the law and courts that apply under mandatory legal rules.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as 00Widget changes. The updated version will be posted at this URL with a new effective date. Continuing to use the service after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
